Inventory and Compliance Supervisor

About the role

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal port, logistics, maritime and rail operator now part of the MSC Group, is hiring an Inventory and Compliance Supervisor in Mombasa, Kenya. The post reports to the Warehouse Operations Manager and covers inventory control, warehouse operations, OPEX coordination, compliance and people support.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily count processes, oversee stock takes in line with SOPs, run spot checks in the WMS and maintain variance records for product transfers
• Enforce inventory control policies and stock labelling standards
• Improve warehouse reporting templates, coordinate Daily Operational Review meetings and support OPEX structures including lean initiatives
• Train and coach teams on 5S, Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma, and monitor KPIs with root cause analysis
• Audit process flows and system records (SPEED/WMS/SAP) against physical counts, track variances and audit warehouse operations
• Report incidents and near misses, investigate them with the 5 WHY method, make at least 30 safety observations per month and ensure compliance with SOPs and regulations
• Train and coach subordinates and liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or Operations/Supply Chain Management
• 3 years' experience in external/internal audit, supply chain operations, inventory management or compliance management
• Professional certification in CPA/ACCA/APICS/CIPS is an added advantage

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SAP
• Experience with WMS is an added advantage
• Experience with continuous improvement methods such as Six Sigma, Lean and Kaizen is an added advantage
