IT Project Manager – Africa

About the role

GardaWorld Security Africa is driving a portfolio of strategic technology initiatives across the continent. The IT Project Manager will own end‑to‑end delivery of business technology programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and achieve the intended business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from initiation through planning, execution, transition and formal closure, establishing clear scope, objectives and governance.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, work breakdown structures, milestone schedules and resource allocations.
• Drive delivery across business units, IT teams, vendors and implementation partners, removing blockers and ensuring momentum.
• Maintain rigorous project governance, RAID logs, change‑control processes and audit trails of decisions.
• Communicate progress, risks and issues to senior leadership, prepare steering committee packs and executive briefings.
• Lead organisational change management activities, including stakeholder impact assessments, training, communication and adoption planning.
• Manage project budgets, forecast financials, coordinate resources and hold vendors accountable for contractual milestones.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience delivering complex IT projects in multi‑country environments.
• Proven ability to create structure from ambiguity, drive decisions to closure and influence stakeholders at all levels, from frontline users to C‑suite executives.
• Strong organisational change management capability, ensuring solutions are adopted and embedded into operations.
