IT Security Engineer

About the role

Avarda Bank is looking for an IT Security Engineer to join its IT Operations team. You will work closely with the IT Security function, Helpdesk and an external SOC partner to protect client, server and cloud environments across multiple European markets.

Key responsibilities

• Secure and maintain client, server and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage Conditional Access policies, Group Policies (GPO) and Intune configuration profiles.
• Implement and oversee Identity and Access Security, including Privileged Identity/Access Management (PIM/PAM).
• Monitor and respond to security incidents with the SOC using Microsoft Sentinel and Defender.
• Coordinate penetration tests and drive remediation of findings.
• Run vulnerability scans, track findings and ensure resolution.
• Administer Mobile Device Management (Intune/Autopilot) for PC, Mac, Android and iOS devices.
• Support Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and evaluate security of new AI tools.
• Contribute to security documentation, policies and audit preparation.
• Partner with the IT Helpdesk to isolate and resolve threats quickly.
• Assist in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity activities.

• Enjoys solving security‑related problems and working hands‑on with modern cloud technologies.
