Junior Communications Advisor – Nairobi

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Communications Advisor to join ASA International’s Group Communications team in Nairobi. This early‑career position offers the chance to work closely with the Communications Lead on a variety of digital, corporate and strategic communication projects for a purpose‑driven micro‑finance organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Create, edit and manage content for the website, LinkedIn and corporate publications, supporting the growth of ASA International’s digital presence.
• Assist with Group communications projects such as branding initiatives, website rebuilds, conferences and corporate events.
• Coordinate communications support for operating companies, providing guidance on branding, content development and external visibility.
• Support media relations, internal communications, stakeholder outreach and Investor Relations communications activities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the communications function through planning, identifying opportunities and helping launch new initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, International Development or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in communications, public relations or marketing, including internships.
