Social Media Executive

About the role

MB96 is seeking a Social Media Executive to manage and publish content across its own channels and selected client accounts. This junior, hands‑on role focuses on publishing, community management, creative coordination and basic reporting, ensuring brand messages reach Kenyan audiences authentically.

Key responsibilities

• Publish and schedule content daily on Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok using Meta Business Suite and TikTok publishing tools.
• Verify captions, assets, tags and links before each post and maintain the publishing calendar.
• Monitor comments, mentions and direct messages; respond in English, Kiswahili and Sheng with a natural tone.
• Coordinate with designers and content creators to secure assets, track approvals and move content from planning to live.
• Extract performance data from platforms, compile weekly or monthly reports and track metrics such as reach, impressions and engagement.
• Identify notable performance shifts, highlight high‑ or low‑performing content and suggest practical improvements.

Required profile

• Approximately 1 year of hands‑on social media experience (or at least six months of substantial work).
• Practical experience managing brand or client accounts on Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok.
• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and TikTok publishing tools.
• Ability to respond to audience comments and DMs in English, Kiswahili and Sheng.
• Strong attention to detail when publishing and handling social media data.
• Experience coordinating creative assets and ensuring timely publication.
• Ability to extract platform metrics and produce basic performance reports.
