Junior Data Scientist

About the role

Seedtag is looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join the Insights team and turn contextual, audience and campaign data into actionable insights using their AI platform, Liz. You will work on building data pipelines, analytical models and AI‑driven products at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines for campaign performance, audience behaviour and contextual data across the open web and Connected TV.
• Develop analytical models for audience profiling, content analysis, campaign comparison and pre‑campaign planning.
• Create scalable data products with dbt, Trino and Airflow, ensuring data quality and reliability.
• Prototype LLM‑based agents and automation workflows using embeddings, classification, clustering and summarisation.
• Design experiments to evaluate automated insights for accuracy and actionability.
• Investigate data anomalies, identify root causes and improve pipeline reliability.
• Communicate findings through visualisations and actionable recommendations for product, sales and clients.

Required profile

• 0–2 years of experience in data science, analytics or machine learning (including internships, research or personal projects).
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical thinking, data storytelling ability and professional proficiency in English.
• Curious, proactive and eager to learn.

Required skills

• Python and SQL.
• Data libraries: pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn.
• Data engineering tools: dbt, Trino, Airflow.
• LLM and AI agent development: embeddings, classification, clustering, NLP, LangGraph, PydanticAI, MCP, OpenAI and Claude SDKs.
• Cloud platforms: GCP, BigQuery.
• Software engineering practices: Git, unit testing, clean reproducible code.
