Junior Data Specialist

About the role

A full-time Junior Data Specialist is sought to support master data management, data quality monitoring and reporting standardization across East African markets. The role suits a detail-oriented, analytical person who is comfortable working with data, proficient in Excel and eager to learn.

Key responsibilities

• Master data management: validate, update and maintain employee, customer, retail store and account data across East African markets.
• Data standardization: support alignment of data definitions and reporting rules across countries and business operations.
• Data quality monitoring: identify data errors and inconsistencies, report anomalies and follow up on corrective actions.
• Data flow maintenance: maintain data relationships and update information on employees, retail stores, administrative regions and other relevant records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above; a background in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Management or a related field is preferred.
• Basic data processing and analysis skills.
• Strong attention to detail, patience and commitment to data accuracy.
• Good English communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and cross-cultural communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.
