Kenya-based Online Content Editor – Floral Industry

About the role

Thursd is expanding its presence in Kenya and East Africa and needs a dedicated Online Content Editor who can turn farm‑level stories into professional articles for an international audience. You will work closely with the Africa Customer Success Manager and the global editorial team to showcase the people, products, sustainability efforts, and innovation behind Kenya’s flower sector.

Key responsibilities

• Write and publish articles on farms, growers, varieties, sustainability, people, innovation and market trends for Thursd.com.
• Visit or remotely connect with flower farms to gather stories, photos, quotes and practical insights.
• Support weekly article production from Kenya and ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare interview material, especially the “10 Questions” format.
• Transform farm visits and industry conversations into clear, professional content.
• Collaborate with the Africa Customer Success Manager to identify strong story angles and commercial opportunities.
• Build trust and visibility for Kenyan growers among buyers, florists, wholesalers and exporters worldwide.
• Coordinate with the international editorial team to guarantee accuracy, relevance and on‑time publication.

Required profile

• Based in Kenya with a strong interest in floriculture, agriculture, export, sustainability or storytelling.
• Excellent English writing skills.
• Curious, commercially aware and comfortable speaking with farm owners, managers and workers.
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines and turn conversations into clear articles.
• Professional, reliable and proactive.
• Familiar with basic content planning tools such as Trello, Google Docs, WhatsApp and email.
• Experience in floriculture is a plus but not mandatory.
