Laboratory Technologist

About the role

Equity Afia is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to join its clinical laboratory team. The role involves conducting sophisticated diagnostic tests on patient specimens to support accurate disease detection, diagnosis, and treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostic analyses on clinical specimens following established protocols.
• Maintain and monitor quality standards throughout the testing process.
• Document results accurately and communicate findings to medical staff.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and regulatory guidelines.

Required profile

• Degree in Laboratory Sciences or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Minimum of one year of internship or relevant working experience.
• Registered with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board.
• Demonstrated understanding of Laboratory Quality Management Systems (QMS) initiatives.
• Proficient computer skills, especially with Health Management Information Systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
