Learning and Development Officer

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Learning and Development Officer in Mlongo. The officer identifies training needs, designs and delivers training programs and helps build a culture of continuous learning within the organization. The salary range is KShs 60,000 to 80,000.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular training needs assessments with department heads to identify skill gaps and development priorities.
• Develop and deliver training plans and programs aligned with company goals and employee growth needs.
• Create learning content such as workshops, e-learning, manuals and other materials.
• Facilitate onboarding, refresher and capacity-building sessions across functions.
• Maintain training records and learning dashboards, and evaluate programs by participation, outcomes and ROI.
• Manage trainee rotations across departments, including mentor assignment and performance tracking, and organize review meetings and evaluations.
• Support managers in performance improvement and learning interventions, and support succession planning and leadership development.
• Help implement and maintain learning management systems, track attendance, feedback and completion rates, and prepare L&D reports for management.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resource Management, Education, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Learning & Development or a related HR role.
• Experience managing structured training or graduate programs is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Strong facilitation, coordination and reporting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with learning technologies or digital learning platforms.
