Learning & Development Consultant – Employee Relations

About the role

We are looking for a Learning and Development Consultant with a strong background in Employee Relations to design and deliver high‑impact learning solutions. You will work within a growth‑focused team, partnering with a diverse client base across the UK to translate legal and HR expertise into engaging training programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver learning interventions on investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, performance management and difficult conversations.
• Conduct needs analyses and build consultancy partnerships with clients to ensure solutions are grounded in current employment law.
• Create interactive, scenario‑based learning materials for both in‑person and virtual delivery.
• Support client organisations in strengthening management capability and organisational culture.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in HR or Employee Relations, including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, TUPE and redundancy.
• Proven ability to train, coach or present to groups, with strong communication skills.
• Experience working with trade unions is desirable.
• Qualified as a solicitor or hold a relevant HR qualification such as CIPD Level 5.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of UK employment law and HR practice.
• Ability to adapt delivery style for varied audiences.
• Confidence in delivering training both face‑to‑face and virtually.
