Lecturer - Clinical Medicine

About the role

Karatina University is recruiting a full-time Lecturer in Clinical Medicine for its faculty in Nyeri. The role involves delivering university instruction and research, and is advertised as a middle-level position.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess courses in the discipline at undergraduate and postgraduate level
• Supervise undergraduate projects and other experiential learning programmes
• Supervise dissertations and theses at graduate level
• Help develop undergraduate and postgraduate courses
• Initiate, promote and take part in research projects
• Provide professional and community services, build linkages and support fundraising
• Carry out other administrative duties as assigned

Required profile

• Earned doctorate degree or equivalent from a recognised academic institution
• OR an ORA master's degree in the relevant field (Health and ICT) from an accredited university, with at least 3 years of university-level teaching experience and registration with the relevant professional body
• Registration or registerability with the relevant professional body where applicable
• At least one publication (publications give an added advantage)
