Legal Administrator - East Africa

About the role

Mobikey, part of Grupo JAP, is seeking an expatriate General Manager to lead its operations across Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya. The role reports to headquarters and carries full responsibility for business performance, growth and operational excellence in the East African market.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall business strategy for Mobikey in Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya, delivering strong P&L results and sustainable growth.
• Identify commercial opportunities, build strategic partnerships and enhance market presence.
• Lead, develop and motivate local teams, fostering a high-performance culture and robust leadership routines.
• Ensure operational excellence across sales, after-sales service, parts, logistics and administration in line with Grupo JAP standards.
• Establish, monitor and report on KPIs, governance processes and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with local regulations, internal policies and brand/manufacturer standards.
• Represent Mobikey with partners, authorities and corporate clients while aligning with headquarters.

Required profile

• Proven experience in general management, country management or business-unit leadership, preferably in automotive, mobility, equipment or services sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage P&L, budgets and multi-department operations.
• Strong commercial mindset with negotiation and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Leadership experience in international or emerging-market environments.
• High autonomy, resilience and adaptability for an expatriate assignment.
• Fluency in English (mandatory); Portuguese is a plus.
• Willingness to relocate to East Africa.
