About the role
We are looking for a meticulous Legal Assistant to join our remote legal team. In this full‑time position you will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support, handling documents, case files, and research for matters under US or UK jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents such as motions, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files, ensuring accurate archiving.
- Conduct legal research using platforms like LexisNexis, Westlaw, or PACER.
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Manage legal calendars, scheduling depositions, hearings, and meetings.
- File documents with court systems and government agencies in compliance with legal standards.
- Handle telephone calls, email correspondence, and billing tasks.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or secretary within US or UK law.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or a Paralegal Certification.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software.
- High‑speed, stable internet connection with a reliable backup and uninterrupted power supply.
- Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
