About the role
The Livestock Husbandry Officer will manage all aspects of livestock production, including animal health and welfare, breeding, herd management and fodder production. This on‑site role requires a degree or diploma in Animal Science and at least three years of experience in a livestock farming environment, with proven expertise in feedlot management and animal nutrition. The officer will collaborate with veterinary staff and feed specialists to ensure optimal herd performance.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee livestock production processes.
- Ensure animal health and welfare standards are met.
- Manage breeding programs and herd management.
- Coordinate fodder production and supply.
Required profile
- Degree or Diploma in Animal Science.
