Logbook Sales Manager - Nairobi

About the role

Phoenix Capital Limited is hiring a Sales Manager in Nairobi (Westlands) to drive sales growth and expand its logbook lending portfolio across all branches. The role provides strategic leadership to the sales function through sales strategy, team leadership and target achievement, working closely with Branch Managers and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet organizational and branch targets, and grow the logbook lending portfolio by identifying new business and expanding the customer base.
• Ensure branches consistently hit monthly sales, disbursement and productivity targets, and build strong relationships with clients, partners, referral networks and stakeholders.
• Lead field sales, plan and run marketing activations, roadshows, exhibitions and community outreach, and visit branches regularly to support Branch Managers, Sales Team Leaders and Sales Executives.
• Recruit, train, mentor and manage sales staff; set targets, track KPIs, hold performance reviews and coaching sessions, and close skill gaps with training programmes.
• Drive the logbook lending product, monitor market trends, customer feedback and competitors, and work with Branch Managers on product penetration and campaign implementation.
• Keep sales operations compliant with policies and regulations, collaborate with Collections to keep the loan portfolio healthy and minimise PAR, and recommend process improvements.
• Prepare and present sales, portfolio and branch performance reports to senior management and share insights and recommendations with stakeholders.
