Machine Operator

About the role

The company is seeking a full‑time Machine Operator to work on‑site in Nairobi. You will be responsible for setting up, operating and monitoring textile production machinery to meet daily output and quality targets. The role involves following production schedules, documenting work performed and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor textile production machines.
• Prepare materials and perform routine equipment checks.
• Identify and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in line with safety procedures.
• Follow production schedules and document work performed.
• Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow.

Required profile

• Ability to operate and monitor industrial machinery.
• Experience performing quality control checks.
• Competence using basic hand tools for adjustments and minor maintenance.
• Strong communication skills for reporting issues and following instructions.
• Attention to detail, reliability and adherence to safety regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in industrial operations is a plus.
