Maintenance and Project Manager

About the role

The Maintenance and Project Manager will lead the maintenance function and drive project delivery across Mini Group’s milling facilities in Kenya. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure equipment reliability, minimise downtime and align maintenance activities with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and cascade a comprehensive maintenance strategy that aligns with overall business goals.
• Create, update and enforce SOPs, SLAs and policies for the maintenance division, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
• Oversee tool and resource planning for all regional branches, guaranteeing availability of spare parts and equipment.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with equipment suppliers to minimise breakdowns and optimise uptime.
• Lead change management initiatives, incorporating international best practices and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and report on maintenance performance metrics, ensuring critical equipment is serviced according to priority.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably mechanical engineering.
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience leading maintenance and project management in a well‑established milling or manufacturing organization.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and people‑management capabilities.
