Maintenance Head

About the role

The Maintenance Head will lead the maintenance team at &Beyond Suyian Lodge, ensuring all facilities operate smoothly while supporting sustainability and guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assign and monitor tasks for mechanics and maintenance staff, conduct daily briefings and be available on the radio for support.
• Inspect lodge facilities, including water treatment, generators, solar system, HVAC and electrical panels, and oversee urgent repairs.
• Coordinate subcontractors, schedule activities, provide site access and verify completed work to maintain lodge standards.
• Monitor fuel and gas levels, ensure tools and consumables are stocked, and keep accurate logs of work and equipment usage.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, solar and HVAC systems.
• Proven ability to lead and supervise a maintenance team in a live‑in, hospitality environment.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and commitment to safety and sustainability standards.
