Manager – Enterprise Risk & Governance

About the role

The Manager – Enterprise Risk & Governance will lead enterprise risk, third‑party risk, audit coordination, policy governance and risk‑culture initiatives for a real‑time payment services company. This role acts as a key second‑line oversight function, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure risks are identified, assessed, mitigated and reported.

Key responsibilities

• Operationalize the enterprise risk management framework, maintain the risk heat map and monitor key risk indicators.
• Manage the full third‑party risk management lifecycle, including due‑diligence, vendor monitoring and risk scorecards.
• Coordinate internal, external and Central Bank of Kenya audit engagements, track remediation and validate closure of findings.
• Conduct enterprise‑wide policy gap assessments, drive policy attestation and support contract lifecycle management integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., CRMA, FRM, CIA) are a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise risk, operational risk, third‑party risk or audit coordination within financial services or fintech.
• Proven ability to work across multiple business functions, influence stakeholders without direct authority and foster a risk‑aware culture.

Required skills

• Proficiency with risk management, GRC and data‑analysis tools.
• Strong quantitative risk assessment and KPI/KRI development capabilities.
