Mechanical Technician Supervisor

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead its maintenance team. The role focuses on implementing preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance programmes to maximise equipment efficiency and minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, monitor and review maintenance schedules for optimal plant performance.
• Conduct preventive and condition‑based maintenance, diagnose mechanical faults and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate maintenance activities across shifts and manage spare‑part requisitions.
• Perform milling roll reconditioning, including grinding and fluting, and support technical needs at other operational locations.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum three years of experience in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, planning and coordination skills.
