Medical Malpractice Paralegal – Arizona Law Firm

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join our Arizona law firm. You will support attorneys throughout all phases of complex medical malpractice litigation, from intake to trial and resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with case evaluation, investigation, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Obtain, organize, review, and summarize medical records, billing statements, diagnostic reports, and other healthcare documentation.
• Prepare detailed medical chronologies, timelines, and case summaries.
• Research healthcare providers, facilities, procedures, and relevant medical issues.
• Coordinate medical and other expert witnesses.
• Draft correspondence, discovery requests and responses, pleadings, subpoenas, and other litigation documents under supervision.
• Maintain electronic and physical case files, track court and discovery deadlines, and manage case‑management system data.
• Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, experts, opposing counsel, and insurance representatives.

Required profile

• Strong litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage large volumes of medical and case documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics.
