Medical Officer – Lead GP for New Private Clinic

About the role

Runda Oaks Medical is launching a new private primary‑care clinic in Westlands, Nairobi. The Medical Officer will act as the principal General Practitioner, delivering high‑quality outpatient care while shaping the clinic’s clinical governance, protocols and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct primary‑care consultations as the resident GP.
• Lead clinical governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
• Develop and implement clinical protocols, workflows and quality‑assurance processes.
• Mentor and support multidisciplinary staff, fostering a culture of patient safety and continuous improvement.
• Participate in strategic planning and decision‑making for medical service delivery.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor (MBChB or equivalent) registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council and holding a valid practising licence.
• Minimum 4 years post‑qualification clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Medical Director, Clinic Lead).
• Strong general‑practice and primary‑care skills, with experience in clinic set‑up or service development preferred.
