Member of Technical Staff – Frontier AI (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Member of Technical Staff to join a leading AI team working on frontier‑level models and systems. This full‑time remote position offers the chance to drive research that pushes the boundaries of current AI capabilities while collaborating with top scientists and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimise next‑generation AI architectures and algorithms.
• Lead research initiatives focused on model efficiency, scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI solutions into production environments.
• Publish findings in technical reports, whitepapers or conference submissions.
• Evaluate and benchmark emerging AI models, frameworks and hardware accelerators.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven ability to conduct independent research and drive complex technical projects.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills for large‑scale AI systems.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Required skills

• Deep learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow.
• Large‑scale distributed training and model optimisation techniques.
• Experience with AI hardware accelerators such as GPUs and TPUs.
• Knowledge of reinforcement learning, generative models and multi‑modal AI systems.
