Member of Technical Staff – Frontier AI (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Member of Technical Staff to join a leading AI research team on a fully remote basis. The role focuses on designing, building and optimizing next‑generation AI models that push the frontier of machine‑learning capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimise cutting‑edge AI architectures and algorithms.
• Lead research projects aimed at improving model efficiency, scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI solutions into production systems.
• Publish research findings in technical reports, whitepapers or conference submissions.
• Evaluate and benchmark new AI models, frameworks and hardware accelerators.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven ability to conduct independent research and drive technical projects.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills for complex AI systems.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency with deep‑learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience in large‑scale distributed training and model optimisation techniques.
• Knowledge of AI hardware and accelerator architectures (GPUs, TPUs).
• Familiarity with reinforcement learning, generative models or multi‑modal AI systems.
