Mid Level Android Developer

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑level Android developer to design, build and maintain native Android applications. You will work closely with product owners, project managers and external vendors to deliver high‑quality mobile features.

Key responsibilities

• Develop full‑stack native Android apps from scratch and refactor existing codebases.
• Perform system analysis, test‑driven development, unit testing, test automation and code reviews.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical product owners and vendor solutions to design and negotiate solutions.
• Maintain and support applications in production and non‑production environments, adhering to SLA commitments.
• Troubleshoot issues, work with support teams and external vendors, and ensure API specifications are well designed.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging mobile technologies, standards and tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years of Android development.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Required skills

• Android SDK and Android UI design principles, patterns and custom views.
• Experience with different Android versions, screen sizes and device sensors (gyroscope, accelerometer).
• Integration with RESTful APIs and offline storage, threading and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of cloud messaging APIs, push notifications and Google Android design guidelines.
• Proficient with Git version control and continuous integration pipelines.
