Mid-level Apigee X Developer (AI)

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑level developer to design, build and operate AI‑powered services that are exposed through Google Apigee X. The role sits at the intersection of generative AI, cloud engineering and API management, delivering secure, scalable solutions for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy AI‑enabled applications using Large Language Models, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation and AI agents.
• Create and secure RESTful APIs with Google Apigee X to expose AI services.
• Implement API security policies such as OAuth2, JWT, API keys, rate limiting, quotas and threat protection.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for both AI models and API deployments and monitor performance in production.
• Perform prompt engineering, AI orchestration and workflow automation.
• Collaborate with architects, data engineers, product owners and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet functional and security requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional software development experience, including work on AI‑enabled applications.
• Proven ability to work in cross‑functional teams and deliver production‑ready solutions.

Required skills

• Google Apigee X (API design, security policies, deployment).
• RESTful API development and integration.
• OAuth2, JWT, API key management, rate limiting, quotas.
• CI/CD pipeline creation and automation.
• Prompt engineering, AI orchestration, workflow automation.
• Experience with Large Language Models, Generative AI and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation.
