Miller / Production Manager - Flour Milling

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Miller / Production Manager for a flour milling plant in Mulot, Bomet. The role covers overseeing the milling process, production planning, quality control and food safety, and supervising factory staff.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the milling process from raw material intake to finished product, manage daily production and monitor machinery performance and product consistency.
• Develop daily, weekly and monthly production plans, track volumes, yields and efficiency, and keep accurate production records.
• Ensure flour products meet quality standards, implement GMP, HACCP and food safety procedures, and work with quality assurance teams on corrective actions.
• Supervise, train and motivate staff, allocate duties across shifts and promote teamwork and discipline.
• Monitor stock levels of raw materials, packaging and supplies, work with procurement and warehouse teams, and control production wastage.
• Enforce health and safety standards, require PPE, identify risks and stay compliant with food manufacturing and occupational safety regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Milling Technology, Manufacturing or a related field.
• At least four years of experience as a Miller, Production Manager or similar role in a busy flour milling plant.
• Hands-on experience in flour milling operations, production management and factory supervision, including managing production teams in a food processing environment.
