Multi-media and Events Consultant (Hybrid)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Multi-media and Events Consultant to provide on‑the‑ground communication support for programme teams. The role involves creating high‑quality video and photo content, supporting filming crews, and assisting with high‑level field visits across Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Produce human‑centred iPhone videos of beneficiaries, staff, celebrity supporters and donors on location, including sound setup, directing, framing, shooting, editing and packaging for social media.
• Capture photography coverage during events and visits, and write brief beneficiary profiles and stories.
• Support filming crews with equipment rigging, sound recording, lighting, crowd control, consent signing, location scouting and beneficiary coordination.
• Participate in reconnaissance missions and ad‑hoc content gathering as needed.
• Assist in organising and executing high‑level field visits for senior UNICEF leadership.
• Ensure timely availability of UNICEF and donor visibility materials on site.

Required profile

• National of Kenya, able to travel frequently within the country.
• Consultant with proven experience in multimedia production for development or humanitarian contexts.
• Flexible, able to work on an “as needed” basis and manage day‑rate budgeting.
