Multi-Sites Project Manager - Oil & Gas Retail

About the role

A leading Oil and Gas company, represented by its recruiter in Nairobi, is looking for an experienced Multi-Sites Project Manager to lead the design, supervision and implementation of retail development projects across several service station sites. The role covers the rollout of convenience shop branding and the automation of retail infrastructure, reporting to the Head of Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design projects and oversee detailed designs aligned with the brand charter, working with consultants and contractors on light modernization and branding.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers during scoping, develop terms of reference and bills of quantities, and review tenders and proposals for service stations.
• Supervise CAPEX projects through to completion, keeping them on time and within budget.
• Conduct acoustic testing to verify tank and pipeline integrity.
• Coordinate and supervise consultants, contractors and service providers for quality and timely delivery.
• Support subsidiaries in maintaining Engineering standards and ensure rebranding and site takeovers meet quality and timeline standards.
• Uphold operational excellence, budget control, growth targets, HSEQ compliance and ISO 9001:2008 quality management requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering from a recognized institution.
• At least 6 years' proven experience in project management, design, documentation and supervision in a busy construction environment.
• Experience working closely with executive management to meet departmental goals.
• Valid driving experience of 6+ years; defensive driving certification is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.
• Project management, technical design and construction supervision.
• Budgeting, cost control and compliance with HSEQ and ISO 9001:2008 standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, report writing and presentation skills.
