Music Teacher – Athi River Campus

About the role

Nova Pioneer is seeking an enthusiastic Music Teacher for its Athi River campus. The successful candidate will join an innovative network of schools dedicated to delivering 21st‑century learning experiences and shaping future African innovators and leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a safe, secure environment where children feel comfortable to explore music.
• Plan and deliver daily music activities aligned with curriculum, schemes of work and lesson plans.
• Prepare and organise materials, instruments and resources for creative play, learning and motor‑skill development.
• Instruct and monitor students in the proper use and care of musical equipment to prevent injuries and damage.
• Lead activities that promote physical, mental and social development, including games, arts, crafts, music and storytelling.
• Observe, evaluate and report each child’s progress to the Principal and parents.
• Maintain accurate records of student development and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs.
• Welcome new students, guide them into the school environment and select engaging activities.
• Enforce behavioural rules and school policies to maintain order.

Required profile

• Passion for music education and ability to inspire young learners.
• Willingness to start immediately and work full‑time on‑site.
• Strong classroom management skills and commitment to student safety.
• Ability to adapt lessons to varying student interests and abilities.
• Effective communication with colleagues, parents and school leadership.
