Networks Administrator

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking a Networks Administrator to manage and improve its IT network infrastructure across its operations in East Africa. The role focuses on ensuring stable, secure, and high‑availability network services while identifying opportunities for automation and cost reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and administer LAN, WAN, and Internet network segments.
• Maintain network stability, compliance with information security policies, and high availability.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software.
• Coordinate upgrades and repairs through Country ITO SOPs and ensure proper CITO training.
• Update network documentation and pursue automation or cost‑saving improvements.
• Design and manage monitoring, alerting, and threshold systems to detect service disruptions.
• Handle network events and incidents, assess significance, execute corrective actions, and implement redundancies and backups.
• Resolve Tier 2/3 network service requests within defined SLAs.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of industry standards for network management and device lifecycle.
• Fundamental project management skills.
• Eligibility: citizenship or permanent residency in Kenya or Rwanda.
