About the role
The New Business Development Intern will join Save the Children’s East and Southern Africa Regional and Multi‑Country Programmes based in Nairobi. The role supports the RMCP team by mobilising resources and assisting with new business development across twelve countries in the region.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and develop tools to track upcoming funding opportunities, enabling timely decision‑making.
- Research and gather intelligence on potential institutional donors, regional corporates and non‑traditional funding sources using funding platforms and sector publications.
- Prepare and share intelligence plans with the Head of RMCP for follow‑up actions.
- Create and maintain a calendar of upcoming funding opportunities.
- Lead knowledge‑management activities on SharePoint and other SCI platforms to ensure accessible data for the RMCP business development work.
- Maintain and organise files on SharePoint, facilitating easy access for all team members.
