About the role
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Operations & Administration Officer to partner closely with our Project Lead during a rapid expansion phase. You will own the day‑to‑day physical and administrative functions of our country operations, enabling strategic growth and partnership activities.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain attendance registers, leave logs, and HR documentation including contracts and NDAs.
- Serve as first point of contact for workplace grievances and coordinate disciplinary escalations.
- Support expatriate staff by liaising with immigration consultants on work permits and visas.
- Oversee office and hub facilities, ensuring spaces are secure, operational, and well‑maintained.
- Represent the company with local government offices, municipal councils, and regulatory bodies for filings, permits, and licensing.
- Assist with local banking setups, mobile‑money registrations, and secure processing of operational transactions.
- Source, vet, and manage local vendors for utilities, repairs, and hub supplies, negotiating cost‑effective rates.
- Implement inventory control systems and manage asset tracking.
- Coordinate internal transport bookings, fleet logistics, and basic international shipping documentation.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in administration, procurement, or operational support, preferably in a fast‑paced start‑up, NGO, or commercial environment.
- Experience as an early‑stage hire or in setting up office and banking infrastructure from scratch.
- Proven ability to navigate local government offices, vendors, and immigration consultants.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
