Operations & Business Controller – East Africa

About the role

We are looking for an Operations & Business Controller to support our fast‑growing East Africa operations in Kenya and Rwanda. You will work closely with the CEO, Group CFO and local teams to strengthen financial discipline, improve operational follow‑up and build better ways of working across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen business control across Kenya and Rwanda operations.
• Supervise in‑house accounting and enhance financial discipline.
• Improve billing, receivables, inventory control and cash‑flow visibility.
• Coordinate with banks, auditors, tax authorities and other external stakeholders.
• Enhance Odoo processes, reporting quality and data accuracy.
• Support finance and operational activities across Sub‑Saharan Africa.
• Act as a trusted operational partner for management, ensuring issues are followed through to completion.

Required profile

• Strong ownership mindset and ability to see issues through to resolution.
• Passion for improving processes and bringing structure to busy environments.
• Solid foundation in accounting, finance and business control.
• Comfortable following up across different teams and holding people accountable.
• Confident communicator with both local and international colleagues.
• Practical, reliable, commercially aware and open to feedback.
• Proactive – identifies problems and takes initiative without waiting for direction.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, especially Odoo.
