Operations Executive – Logistics & Freight Forwarding

About the role
The Operations Executive will coordinate and execute daily logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement of cargo across East Africa. This role bridges the gap between clients, shipping lines, and transport partners to deliver reliable, on‑time shipments.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end shipment processes, including sea, road, and cross‑border operations.
- Liaise with shipping lines, transporters, and clients to arrange cargo movement.
- Oversee customs clearance procedures for local and transit shipments.
- Coordinate warehousing activities and ensure proper documentation.
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation, track shipments and provide updates to clients.
- Identify and resolve operational issues promptly.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- 3‑5 years of experience in logistics or freight forwarding within Eastern Africa.
- Strong knowledge of customs processes (local and transit) and East African road/transit corridors.
- Fluent in English and Swahili.
- Basic computer skills.
