Packaging Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking a driven and results‑oriented Packaging Team Lead to oversee our packaging operations in Kajiado. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, high‑quality outputs, and a safe working environment while leading a dedicated team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the packaging team.
• Allocate tasks and monitor progress to meet production targets.
• Ensure products are packaged to required quality standards.
• Monitor material usage and implement waste‑reduction measures.
• Enforce compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Identify and report defects, equipment issues, and operational abnormalities.
• Maintain accurate production and performance records.
• Train, guide, and monitor team members on procedures, quality, and safety.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, Operations Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Proven experience leading or supervising a production team.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and workplace safety.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
• Experience in an FMCG or fast‑paced manufacturing setting is preferred.
