Packaging Technician – Aluminium Capping

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Packaging Technician to join our production line in Kitengela, focusing on aluminium cap application for beverage bottles. You will ensure smooth operation of capping equipment while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging and bottle‑capping equipment.
• Apply aluminium caps, verify correct placement and sealing.
• Inspect capping quality, identify defective or improperly sealed bottles.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and report faults promptly.
• Handle packaging materials and ensure availability for production.
• Maintain production, quality and equipment records.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, occupational health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with production, quality control and maintenance teams.
• Minimise packaging defects, waste, downtime and production losses.
• Keep the packaging line clean and organised.

Required profile

• Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Packaging Technology, Food Science, Mechanical Engineering, Production or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on packaging experience in a beer, brewery, beverage or FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with aluminium bottle‑capping or crown‑capping equipment.
• Practical knowledge of packaging‑line operations, bottle handling and sealing processes.
• Ability to identify capping defects, equipment faults and quality issues.
• Good understanding of production, quality and food‑safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under production targets.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing/production environment.
