Part-Time Direct Support Professional – Home & Community Based

About the role

Springbrook is seeking compassionate Part‑Time Direct Support Professionals to work in home and community‑based settings across the Delaware region. You will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them achieve personal goals while fostering independence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalized care, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
• Encourage community participation such as shopping, sports, and social events.
• Act as a role model and advocate, promoting positive communication and decision‑making.
• Document services, complete billing forms, and follow individualized support plans.
• Collaborate with the person you support to set and pursue meaningful goals.

Required profile

• Reliable, punctual, and dependable attendance.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
• Ability to work independently with one participant at a time.
• Willingness to engage in a variety of activities, from leisure outings to family functions.

Required skills

• Basic personal care techniques (showering, toileting, dressing).
• Ability to follow written care plans and documentation procedures.
