Part‑time Peer Reviewer – Otolaryngology (PhD required)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced researcher with a PhD in otolaryngology or a related field to join our editorial team as a part‑time, remote peer reviewer. This long‑term position involves evaluating submitted manuscripts for scientific quality, originality, and ethical compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and contribution of each manuscript.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Check the completeness and relevance of the literature review.
• Analyse results, conclusions, and their significance to the field.
• Provide constructive, clear, and confidential feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent in otolaryngology or a closely related discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed publications in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and written communication abilities.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to confidentiality, objectivity, and ethical standards.
• Prior experience as a journal peer reviewer is highly desirable.
