People and Culture Business Partner

About the role

The People and Culture Business Partner will work full‑time on‑site in Nairobi, partnering with business leaders to align people strategies with MOGO Kenya’s mission of financial inclusion. The role focuses on workforce planning, performance management, employee engagement and compliance with Kenyan labour regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Advise managers on HR policies, performance management and employee relations.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and employer branding initiatives.
• Design and deliver learning and development programmes.
• Implement employee engagement, culture‑building and diversity & inclusion activities.
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws and manage risk‑related HR matters.
• Lead change‑management and internal communication efforts.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to foster an inclusive, high‑performance environment.

Required profile

• Strong background in HR business partnering, employee relations and organisational development.
• Proven experience in talent acquisition, onboarding and employer branding.
• Experience designing employee engagement, culture and D&I initiatives.
• Knowledge of Kenyan labour laws, HR policies and compliance best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Ability to use HR data and metrics for decision‑making.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field; professional HR certification is a plus.
• Prior experience in financial services or mission‑driven organisations is beneficial.
