People Business Partner

About the role

Moniepoint Kenya is seeking a People Business Partner to work directly with the Kenya CEO. This hands‑on, builder role will evolve existing HR foundations to support a fast‑moving, regulated fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Kenya CEO to operationalise people plans aligned with organisational goals.
• Manage day‑to‑day employee lifecycle matters in collaboration with People Operations and Employee Relations.
• Coach line managers on performance management, feedback and team engagement.
• Analyse people metrics (attrition, engagement, performance) to identify trends and propose solutions.
• Support organisational design, workforce planning and change initiatives.
• Collaborate with COEs (Talent Management, Total Rewards, Learning, ER) to deliver enterprise programmes locally.
• Act as a culture champion, driving inclusion and accountability through daily interactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
• 10+ years HR experience, including 5+ years in an HRBP or advisory role.
• Proven experience as a People Business Partner in a fast‑moving organisation.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and regulations.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data trends.
• Registered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) with CHRP‑K certification.
