Physical Therapist – Physical Disabilities Services (Full-time)

About the role

The Physical Therapist will assess, plan, and deliver therapy services for children from birth to 21 years old with physical disabilities. The role involves collaborating with families, educators, and multidisciplinary team members to support functional development and educational outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide direct therapy services in school settings, homes, and community environments.
• Consult with parents, teachers, and team members to integrate therapy goals with curricular objectives.
• Document progress, adjust interventions, and ensure compliance with early intervention and special education regulations.
• Maintain equipment and adaptive devices, including safe lifting and transfers as needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure from the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Knowledge of child development, educational disabilities, and relevant legal regulations.
• Ability to deliver early intervention services in home and school settings.
