About the role
NS Farms is seeking a dedicated Poultry Husbandry Officer to join the team in Nairobi on an immediate basis. The full‑time, on‑site position involves overseeing flock management, poultry health and biosecurity, nutrition and feeding programmes, as well as egg and meat production in a commercial poultry farming environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily flock management activities, monitoring growth, health status and mortality rates.
- Implement and maintain strict biosecurity protocols to prevent disease outbreaks.
- Design, manage and optimise nutrition and feeding programmes for both layer and broiler birds.
- Coordinate egg collection, processing and meat production operations to meet quality standards.
Required profile
- Degree or diploma in Poultry Science or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in poultry husbandry.
- Hands‑on experience with commercial layer and broiler systems.
