Power BI & Power Platform Developer – MEL Data Officer

About the role

The MEL Data Science Officer joins Orbis International’s Global MEL team to strengthen monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) systems through data engineering, analytics, automation and governance. This hands‑on technical role focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines, automated reporting and analytical solutions that improve data quality and accessibility for global programs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes across multiple systems and countries.
• Create and manage standardized data models and Dataverse structures to support MEL reporting.
• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and Power Automate workflows for performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with MEL, program and IT teams to ensure data reliability, efficiency and alignment with global reporting requirements.
• Provide technical support, training and troubleshooting to MEL stakeholders worldwide.

Required profile

• 5–9 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence or related fields.
• Proven ability to work independently in a multinational, nonprofit environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data quality and governance.
