Practice Development Director

About the role

The Practice Development Director will lead all practice development activities for an assigned industry group within our Ohio offices. Reporting to the Industry Group Leader and Chief Business Development Officer, you will shape business‑development strategy, marketing, and training for attorneys and non‑attorney timekeepers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive growth of the industry group by developing lines of business and supporting timekeepers.
• Design and execute strategic initiatives, practice integration measures, industry‑specific trainings, events, and business‑development activities.
• Enhance professional development of all timekeepers and reduce administrative burdens.
• Collaborate with operational and attorney leaders to identify growth opportunities and improve business operations.
• Maintain relationships with professional trade associations to raise external visibility.
• Manage pitch, proposal, and RFP responses.

Required profile

• Proven experience in practice or business development within a professional services environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with talent, HR, and operational teams.
