Principal Clinical Programmer

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Clinical Programmer to lead the design, development, and delivery of data analytics reports and dashboards that support clinical trial monitoring and decision‑making. The role combines deep clinical data expertise with strong programming and business intelligence skills to ensure high‑quality, actionable insights for global program teams.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into logical data models and guide development teams to implement robust reporting solutions.
• Author user requirements, functional specifications and testing scripts, and drive functional testing.
• Design, build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Spotfire and JReview.
• Coordinate project plans, resources and timelines to deliver solutions on schedule.
• Develop user training materials and lead change‑management activities for new data‑review tools.
• Provide quantitative analytical support, KPI definition and monitoring for clinical programs.
• Sample, monitor and review utilization of reports, ensuring data accuracy, completeness and compliance.
• Lead or support special projects of limited scope, both clinical and non‑clinical.

Required profile

• 7–9 years of experience in clinical review, reporting programming or business analytics within the pharmaceutical, CRO or life‑science industry.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders and lead small project teams.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
