About the role
The Procurement Manager will lead the sourcing and purchasing activities for animal feed inputs, ensuring cost‑effective and timely supply. This position reports to senior management and works closely with production, quality and finance teams to align procurement with business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee end‑to‑end procurement processes and drive cost‑efficient purchasing.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, focusing on quality and reliability.
- Guarantee the timely availability of materials, especially animal feed components.
- Negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance and enforce service level agreements.
- Maintain compliance with internal procurement policies and relevant regulations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Registered member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
- Proven experience in procurement, with mandatory experience in the animal feeds industry.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
