Flood Risk & Drainage Lead

About the role

Hollis is seeking an experienced Flood Risk & Drainage professional to lead the growth of its flood risk, drainage and climate‑resilience services. You will work within a multidisciplinary Environmental team, combining technical expertise with client leadership to shape the future direction of the service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and expansion of Hollis' Flood Risk & Drainage service.
• Deliver and oversee flood risk assessments, flood risk appraisals and drainage strategies for diverse projects.
• Advise clients on flood risk, climate resilience, asset protection and adaptation strategies.
• Support the creation of future climate‑resilience capabilities and broader environmental consultancy offerings.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Environmental, Project Management, Building Consultancy and ESG teams to provide integrated solutions.
• Lead project delivery ensuring high technical standards and commercially successful outcomes.
• Prepare concise, technically robust, client‑focused reports and support bids, tenders and proposals.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience in flood risk assessment, drainage strategy development and climate‑resilience planning.
• Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to build trusted advisory relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to lead service development and contribute to business growth.
• Excellent communication and report‑writing abilities.
