Procurement Officer – Full‑Time

About the role

Woodcreek School is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and experienced Procurement Officer to join its administrative team. The successful candidate will oversee supplier relationships, develop procurement plans, manage budgeting and cost control, and ensure accurate inventory tracking and record‑keeping.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance evaluations, and negotiate contracts to secure the best value for the school.
• Develop, implement and monitor comprehensive procurement plans and annual budgets aligned with institutional goals.
• Control procurement costs, analyse spend data, and identify opportunities for savings while maintaining quality standards.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventory records, track stock levels, and coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely availability of goods.
• Prepare and preserve accurate procurement documentation, ensuring compliance with school policies and Kenyan procurement regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• CPSP‑K qualification or an equivalent professional certification.
• At least 5 years of experience in a busy procurement function, preferably within an educational institution.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation abilities with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel for data analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with procurement software and electronic purchasing systems.
